homemade CAI, throttle body by-pass, weight removal of odds and inns.

as mentioned above, you can port and polish your own throttle body, and remove your egr.

Homemade CAI
De-Screened MAF (if you really want to)
Ported MAF
Ported intake manifold
Ported Heads
Exhaust Cutout ($25 + install isn't too bad)

Don't descreen your MAF. A Ported stock Intake results in no gains. Check out SAM for this one. Ported heads aren't cheap. Don't forget about Spring clamps, great for reducing wheel hop.

port and polish throttle body
half shaft the throttle body
bump stop mod to the throttle body
throttle coolant bypass ($3)
home made intake(~30-50)
cutout(say $50-60)

i dont recomend descreening MAF or doing any porting to the MAF. i had problems with a descreened mass airflow sensor.

do a search for descreened maf before you consider doing it. very few get gains, and most get problems. its a crap shot and the odds are against you.

That's why i put in the "if you want to" part. Personally my Grand Am had a LOT of problems when it was de-screened and I ended up having to go pick up a MAF out of a wrecked car to fix it. I don't recommend it personally, but its the driver's call.
