Finally got pics

I finally got some pics of the exhaust routing when it was up on the lift today.
3" thru cats and reduced into 2 1/2" into X and back.

Nice man,are those Borla XR1's?

trever1t Feb 10, 2007 07:17 PM

Saving my rear tires for next Saturday, you should come up!
Thanks yes, they are Borla XR-1's 12x7" ovals.

I think Rick did a hell of a job welding up all this mandrel bent tubing. I watched for about 30 minutes when I decided to hide before he decided to charge me double. :jest:

Looks a lot easier than it was to get the tubing past the transfer case on the left.

Ahhhhh, the stealth look.....I like.

That's a nice looking setup :thumb: I haven't seen too many guys run the pipes back over the crossmember and install the x there...looks good and the pipes seem to be closer to equal length than running the driver's side pipe around behind the trans pan.

Blown02Sierra Feb 10, 2007 09:50 PM

Why not just run both pipes on the pass. side?

Rick wanted to keep the pipes as equal in length as possible and the bend from behind the driver's side cat to the passenger side would have difficult at best.

It was a pretty tight fit up and over that crossmenber, that's about the time I went and hid..... :eyes:

Wow, thats some serious plumbing. Not many, if any, shops around here that are willing to do that type work.
