Default "Engine Loss of Power" ?? Need Help!

I have a 04' 5.3 Silverado ext. cab. Last night I was just cruisin around and the little motor display popped up on my gauge cluster and it said something about the engine having a loss of power. The truck was running but unresponsive to the throttle. I just coasted into a parking lot and shut the truck off. Immediately started it back up and drove home. The motor is still displayed on the gauges, but I dont know why/what caused that. Its never done anything like that before.

Any ideas?

I've seen a lot of "Reduced Engine Power" messages in relation to faults with the throttle motor/TPS/wiring, seems to be somewhat common. Search this section for "Reduced Engine Power" and you should yield some results.

First thing I'd do though is to have the PCM scanned for codes to give you some direction in your diagnosis
