All I can say is WOW, its amazing how much faster trucks are with a little tuning here & there <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> Toss tuning on a joseph 6.0l & its going to be nuts!

Custom tuning rocks! <img src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" /> It's hard to understand what it's like without tq. mgt. until you don't have it anymore. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" /> I bet the truck is pretty hoss now! I can't wait to see how it runs on the gas w/ the 6.0L.

Is the torque management that bog after shifts? I notice it a lot more with the Yank. I will have to try Ed Wright.

That bog IS in fact the infamous "Torque Management." Torque Management in 01'+ ECMs SUCK! The computer pulls timing during and just after the shift (if you can ATAP you motor you will see NEGATIVE timing-this is why the vehicles feels like its falling on its face). Dependant on the amount of "measured" torque, the computer can even drop fuel to every other cylinder. Being that I have pulled about 500 ft-lbs of torque to the wheels (which equates to about 610 @ the flywheel) with my current set-up, TQ management is like hittting a wall...it cost me over .4 in the quarter mile last visit to the track.

On a side note as to negative timing, when I hook it up to our Monte Carlo, it give negative timing ALL the time. It advances and retards normally but just does it as a negative number????

I think I’m one of the only cases of Torque Management being a big issue in an ’00 car. Most are ‘01s and up, and usually after a shift kit install. I didn’t even have a shift kit, and I was still seeing negitive 5 degrees of timing on WOT upshifts.

Deleting TM is one of my favorite mods now <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

BTW, I had MTI do my tuning...
