E-rod?
#1
Has anybody here done anything with the GMPerformance E-ROD motor? I tried a search of the site and found nothing, but somebody's gotta have thought about it. It's expensive, but great power and it sounds like plug-and-play. The emissions-legal thing is nice for me, they test here in Oregon.
"Part# 19244805 The E-ROD kit features a 6.2-liter LS3 crate engine, rated at 430 horsepower and 424 lb.-ft. of torque. It also includes a GMPP LS3 engine wiring harness, GMPP engine control module, Exhaust manifolds, catalytic converters, oxygen sensors and sensor bosses, fuel tank evaporative emissions canister, mass airflow sensor and sensor boss, accelerator pedal (for use with the LS3’s electronic throttle), air filter, and a full instruction manual."
It sounds like it would make a nice steroid injection for my '99 Silverado.
Anybody???

You don't need all the stuff that comes with it. Just use a LS3 crate motor if thats what you want. The hand full of extensions and conversion parts have been discussed in other gen4 motor swap threads and will save you alot of time and money. Also purchase a new trans built for the power while your at it.
