dynatech or stainless works header install

Does anyone know if the dynatech or stainless works headers are a direct bolt-on to the existing factory pipes in front of the cats? I'll cut the stock pipe in front of the cats, but i dont want to have to do any welding or bending.

The dynatech LT's are a direct bolt on, you might loose a little power on the low end but gain it up top. Get a good tune for the headers and you will gain power at all RPM's.

05GMCL33,
So your saying that there's not any bending required of the pipes that mate to the ends of the headers? The pipes past the collectors slide right into the factory pipes?

Do they come with clamps for the pipes? Do you have these on your truck?

If you order the y-pipe for either header they will bolt up to your existing exhaust if you still have the factory exhaust configuration. If you have true duals then there will be some custom exhaust work to be done for either.

Like 1slow01z71 said order the Y-pipe and it will be a direct bold on.

Does the Y-pipe tuck above the frame.

I've been told by dynatech that the full system will not work on my truck (2500HD 6.0 liter 4wd). But they said the headers will fit. I didnt ask them if the "header only" install was a "FULL" bolt-on install. By hearing that from dynatech, I figured that meant that anything (y-pipe) past the headers on their full system would not work on my truck. Currently, everything is stock from the manifolds to front of cat-back, 2 cats, 2 pipes.

1slow4.8,

I'm not sure if the y-pipe tucks above the frame, i believe that it does tho. The cats are up inline with the framerail, but i dont remember if the pipe in front of the cats dips lower or not.
