Question craigslist motor

Built LS1 500hp

i'd like to make another mod to my truck. my 5.3 still runs dam good, even though it has 135,xxx on it. i've thought about a 6.0 swap with a nice 220ish cam... then i thought about buying a maggie awhile back from 1bad2k... but as i was looking on craigslist i came across this motor. would this be a nice up grade, or just throw a maggie and a spec'd came in my 5.3 and let it bump? ive been following TIM Z thread about blower cams, and really like how SKIPPERDADDY's 5.3 truck runs.

but anyways thoughts and opinions on this motor... my mods are in sig.

thanks
steve

Thats alot of money! get a used 6.2 and put a cam in it! Thats what I did with my CC 2008. And from 60mph...skipperdaddy is still on the side of me! well, his truck bed is still on the side of me!

I think you would be happier with the blower for a DD, instant torque! You can find used MP112's for around $3,000, smaller pulley, then throw a blower cam in there and you will not be disappointed.

The easiest would be just to slap a tvs on current engine and be done with it lol. Maybe later on if you get bored or want something different you can maybe go 6.0 or 6.2 with FI.
