Cold Vibrations

I have noticed that if I do not drive my truck for a couple of days, then start it, let it warm up, then drive it. The whole truck shakes and vibrates like crazy for a mile or two, like all the tires are out of balance. After that first drive and first day of getting back into my truck is when I notice it, then it goes away. Now the roads by my house are crappy, and very unsmooth, but it does not shake like that after about 2 miles.

Do any of you guys know what the hell that could be? It anoyes the hell out of me, and I have checked everything from tire balance and pressure, to alignment and worn bushings. But I cannot find anything wrong, and why does it go away? Maybe it is my Goodyear GT II tires, but then again like I said, it goes away after a couple of miles, then I won't feel it for the rest of the week. I drive my 4runner back and forth to work, and only drive my truck on weekends.

Anyone else have this problem?

Re: Cold Vibrations

It's all those nylon cords in the Goodyear GTII's. If you think they are bad now wait till winter...they never warm up and stop bouncing! Get rid of them and get a set of Falkens. They offer the same size and about the same price.

Oh, so it is the tires. I have not heard anyone else complain about these. Anyone else have this problem. Man living in vegas you would think with the 110 summer days that there would be no effect.

Mine does the same thing and I know it is either the wheels or tires and I have the same crappy gt 2's. I really thought it was the tires though.
