Cat ELC coolant

Has anyone every used Caterpillar ELC red coolant? I know guys that use it in diesels instead of dexcool and the price is right for me! $0!!!

Not me, but aslong as it doesnt react with the dexcool or green coolant and make sludge, then go ahead I guess.

You have to do a full system flush with water before adding the Cat ELC. It cannot be mixed with any other coolant (even any-type coolant) due to sludge formation. The protective properties are decent as long as mixing and purity is maintained.

Well, I flushed the coolant system out petty good and filled it with ELC, seems to run fine. Def gets up to temp a little quicker than before.I'll keep you posted
