Cat Back VS. True Duals

Is there a significant difference between a cat back system and true dual exhaust? HP? Sound?

How much power you are making is a big factor.

For a basically stock motor or a simple cam swap, you should stick with a headers to a Y-pipe and 3in catback.

Even true duals really need some sort of crossover, been kinda thinking of goin back to a ypipe and turning the ypipe into a sort of xpipe... Just need the time, pipes and patience to make it work......

Thanks, Ezdaar! Pros and cons of aluminized vs. SS?

Looks like most SS systems are 409 SS and it can rust because 400 series stainless has no nickel in it. Given that, it can last longer than coated mild steels but what about performance?

Living in Missouri, we have years without snow and ice and we have years where we get a lot and when we do they salt the heck out of the roads. Has anyone had any corrosion problems with SS exhaust?
