can I do away with the fuel evap system?
I bought the new edelbrock ls xt intake and I have no idea what to do with the evap system any ideas? What are you guys doing with the victor jr intakes?
|
I believe that there is one valve that you must retain or you will have problems with the pump kicking off when trying to fuel the gas tank (might be the ORVR or OCVR valve or something like that...once again my memory is foggy and I can only remember bits and pieces :bang: )

Yes you can. Just vent your tank to the atmosphere. I have info bookmarked at home I'll send you

You don't need your evap equipment for state visual inspection? |
cool so I can just mount the pump and let it go in the atmosphere? I would love the info you got at home

It wouldnt be hard to plumb the EVAP by tapping a hole into the intake, or by t-ing an already existing vacuum source.
having the EVAP purge hooked up or not hooked up will have ZERO effect on filling at the pumps. venting the EVAP to the atmosphere can result in a gas smell from your truck. I personally would just hook up the EVAP purge solenoid and keep ito operational. Just my opinion. peace Hog |

I agree though that I would just hook up the purge and keep it operational also... |
so hook it up and dont worry about running a hose to it. Just plug in the sensor and hide it?
