Wow thats a big converter!

Stock heads I assume? Do you care where your shift points are? How about idle quality? Is it safe to assume this isn't a daily driver?

It is big but I love it. Goes into lock up about 35mph. I stalled it high because of the longer first gear, but again, going 4.10 anyway. Stock 862 heads, have a set of 243 but they need a full run through before I can use them., shift points are at 6200 right now, will have it shift wherever it's most effective.i don't mind rougher idle. And yes it's my daily lol. I don't drive far to work, and next year I will live closer

With the converter you currently have you could definitely go a bit bigger on the camshaft. I still would be very mindful of the fact that it is still a heavy truck intended for daily use. If you are looking for a little more power and sound I would consider something like a 224/228 on a 112LSA to get you a little more power and sound.

That's what I was thinking. The BTR stage 4 truck cam is 224/230 ..55x/.55x on 111. I could still use my same springs and get a little more out of it. The other thing is I might go turbo and could run the current cam or more cam and more nitrous. So many options. I do have a built 80e trans. I'm not sure what I want haha
