Cam Gear Question
 
i have a 2007 saab 97x now... sold the escalade a while back

dod lifter number 6 went on me... i need to know if the cam gear is 3 bolt or 1 bolt.. i want to do a dod delete... please let me know! motor is the same on the trailblazer 5.3 aswell... engine code: LH6

please lmk want to order the right parts

If they are DOD engines then they are gen IV engines and likely with 1 bolt cams right now. You could go with a 3 bolt cam, just make sure you get the correct cam sprocket for your engine(s).

thanks for the reply... i have seen an open lh6(not mine)... and i swear i saw a 3bolt cam gear... but i dunno i thought the single bolts were only vvti... but it is dod... the year is 2007 if that helps someone figure it out...

just buy a 3 bolt and a 1 bolt cam gear. return whichever you dont use. just make sure the 3 bolt cam gear is 4 pole 58x. all single bolt cam gears are 58x
FWIW my 2007 5.3L truck had a single bolt. it had DOD and was non vvt

My 2007 1/2 was a 1 bolt but now its a 3 bolt. :drive:
