No, the 1.8 rockers won't help. I tried that on my Comp Cams 212/218.

Longtubes and Comps 212/218 .522/.529 is what I have. I just met up with Justin today and got everything all tuned in. It makes sick TQ right at about 3000 rpms....right where we need it when we tow.

For comparison, I have a 2500HD with 265s and 4.10 gears....sorry I dont know how to fill out a sig on this site.

You could shave the heads alittle to bump up the compression....

You might consider lowering You're static compression ratio a little , I'm sure You're aware that the higher the scr is the higher the rpm's where the hp and tq peak #'s are , so the opposite is true without sacrificing any more than say 10 or maybe 12 ponies at the top end , but You would see more tq in the bottom to mid r's especially with a cam ground specifically for low to mid range tq. Also , lowering scr lowers You're engines octane needs , iow , You're computer can advance ign timing a little bit more without pre-detonation adding a little power all the way through the rpm range , on reg unleaded . Good luck and happy tractor pullin

I have the 206 cam and it still lacks below 3k but not as much as stock. At 2500-3000 rpm it picks up good tho. Get a good spec cam and pnp heads by someone that knows what they are doing. Should be able to help down low a good bit but they have to keep velocity up. Also the tune and tri y headers would be good. Just my thought on it if you dont have the funds for a supercharger you could do the above little by little.
