Default Borla XR-1's, anyone try them?

I recently got ticketed for my exhaust being too loud so I was looking around and ran across these borla mufflers. Has anyone tried or heard how they sound? I'm currently running 3" straight pipes after the Dynatech Y-pipe so I'm open for suggestions. I've thought about getting cutouts and a full cat back but, I'm not fully sold on the cutout part. Around here they lay down a lot of salt in the winter so I'd be afraid of it rustung shut. Thanks for any help.

I think that Deckhand has some Borla Pro-XS mufflers on his truck but I don't remember if he has any long tubes. Here is a link that has quite a bit of pics of his exhaust. He also has a sound clip somewhere.

Are you running dual or single XR-1's? How do they sound at WOT and at idle? Being loud doesn't bother me much (I also have 2200 watts of Alpine sound to tone out the exhaust ), I just need to keep the law off my back.
