U sir are correct. I am leaning toward the trickflow cam u mentioned. Just because I can use it and allways put a converter in it after Xmas. The truck is a daily driver that I use to pull a enclosed trailer and 4 wheelers other than that I just want it to be a dd with some getup and nice street manners. What size push rods do I get for the stock 5.3 with 799 heads. If I'm running that cam? Also I think longtubes are needed more than stall so this small.cam would work.

Link to that cam at summit. That's a pretty good price.

I'm a little slow... Greymatter04 is who I was talking about in my last post!

let him shed some light on small vs large on a daily driver. I think that TSP cam would be great. If you want to wait for something else to pop up used thats up to you too. It's all in how much time you want to dedicate to this and when you want to get it done.

We ran a 222-224 568 lift cam on ls6 springs, went 15k miles and broke one of the springs. I would say stay under 560 lift

I'm running a 214/218 .55x .562 (ht1 cam) in my daily with ls6 blue springs with no problem. The springs were recommended by the company I got all my stuff from which is a sponsor. Love the cam as a daily. No loss of low end and it had GREAT MID AND TOP end. On a stock stall. Ill plan on a 3000 stall eventually.
