ls1 injectors on truck intake and rail
what do i need to use for spacers? will washers work?
this is in an s10 swap with a harness from a 2000 f-body so i dont want to cut and splice truck injector connectors in.
i searched and found that people are using the ls1 injectors and about a 1/2 inch spacers (also i have a post on ls1tech and got the same answer).
so if you know what i need to do let me know.

So did you end up pullng this off?
I made the mistake of picking up some used racetronix LS1 42# injectors, but want to try to use them with either my TBSS intake or truck intake. I already have some ev1 pigtail adapters, so will all I need is some spacers and longer bolts for the fuel rail?
I was prettty concerned when I got them, then mocked them up into the intake holes...
...these LS1 injectors do not stick very far down into the intake at all!! gotta be a good 1/4"+ difference! Is this how they sit in an LS1/LS6 intake? Almost flush with the intake wall? I wish I had acceess to a car intake to compare. Is shrouding from the gasket a concern? Or am I overthinking it somehow, and just for some odd reason the truck injectors stick way down into the intake for no reason in particular?
Also, is there any difference in o-rings?
Any help or tips here are much appreciated!

well, yeah, I just pulled it off. Just fab'ed up some "Z" spacers for the fuel rails to raise them up and offset for the much taller "LS1" injectors.
Then soldered on some pigtails to my truck harness.
Running great so far, and I only have a quick mail tune just to get the truck running to get it over to BEI for the dyno tune.
not the best pic, but here's a quick one I took in between processes of getting everything mocked up before install:
I'm still curious about the "shrouding" of the injector end in the intake, since it doesn't stick down into the port like the truck injectors do... but I imagine it doesn't really matter since they must be like this in LS1/LS6 intakes too?

I'm bumping this old thread to see how these injectors performed. I'm concerned if they don't sit all the way into the intake that the fuel may not atomize correctly and become inefficient.
Did you experience any issues with drive-ability, fuel consumption, or tuning issues? How was the power output of your setup compared to others like it?
Thanks

Well in the last two years I've had no issues related to the adapted injectors! Runs great and my tuner didn't have any complications.
Do have a small issue with hard starting when cold, I have to crack the throttle just a hair, but I'm going to blame that on the Chinese DBCable TB. I may try drilling a small hole in the throttle blade since it seems my IAC can't get enough.
Also had a fuel pump go out a few months ago but that's probably completely unrelated.
