ugh. how frustrating. Mine was the collector, except mine was bank 1. Have you run some injector cleaning service through them yet?

No, maybe I'll try that. I need to work on the exhaust after the truck sits overnight, so it'll have to be next weekend I guess. Injector cleaner would be good to run in the meantime.

a bad dose of fuel too will throw those stupid things off...i dont know what you are running, but that happened to me and i took it back to the guy who tuned it to figure it out, and he suggested octane boost or fuel injector cleaner... try that and see...

I had some wierd issues with over boost on my SS and the idle vacuum was 1-2 inches low. Turns out when I hit the rev limiter and leaned it out at 9psi I cracked #4 piston and "smashed" #2 and #8 down onto the top compression ring. It ran ok but the exhaust note was a little different. If nothing else is obvious a compression test is easy....not wishing you bad luck though. At least in my case it will be like the Six Million Dollar man. Stronger, faster, better than ever before......

The fuel pressure gauge was reading funky because my big alt charging wire was laying on it....I moved it and it has been fine since. Must have been causing some kind of interference.

On the lean issue, I have installed new intake manifold gaskets, new Vette O2 sensors, ran a bottle of injector cleaner through, and installed a gasket into the place where the EGR tube connects to the exhaust manifold (it was missing). Nothing has helped. I haven't really worked on it other than that, but the way it is reading almost makes me think that it is a problem with the EGR system. I have been meaning to log the EGR PID (if there is one) and see how that corresponds to my lean issue. It only happens when I am pulling 10 bars of vacuum or more, so I'm not worried about it damaging anything. I bought a metal plate and was going to make an EGR block-off plate, but I have been too lazy. It's too damn hot outside to work comfortably.

not to get off topic but do adding vette o2 sensors increase performance over the stock truck ones? good luck with your issue.

The vette sensors have a better heating element, so in cases where long tube headers move the o2's further downstream, the stock truck ones can get sluggish because the exhaust gas is cooler. Installing Vette sensors alleviates this problem.
