Another e fan question

I have done alot of reading a research and understand 05-06 stock e fans will bolt right up to my 99 silverado 5.3 Liter as long as i have a 34" radiator, but what i cant find is where on my radiator do i measure to determine if i have a 34" radiator. If i measure just the core its 28" but if i measure from end cap to end cap its approx 34". Is there an easier way to tell if the 34" fans will fit.

You have a 28" radiator.

I also had the same question. Measure the core? I have an 02 Z71 that I wanted to do an E-fan conversion on also but wanted to make sure I had what I needed.

Yes measure the core or look at the back of the radiator core support for the mounting holes. If your radiator uses the inner set of bolt holes you have a 28" radiator. If it uses the outer set of holes you have a 34" radiator.

Awesome, thanks for sharing that man. Sounds easy enough. Going to check to see which radiator I have and get this done! =) Bad fan clutch + underdriven plus 105º+ days during summer with the AC on = hot ass engine.
