Deck height is from the top of the piston to the deck with piston at TDC

with a .030 deck height your looking at 9.8 to 1

with a .020 deck height your looking at 10.1 to 1

with a .040 deck height your looking at 9.6 to 1

Dustin

Deck height is actually the distance from the centerline of the crank to the top of the deck. You're looking for distance in/out of the hole.

I'm not saying my numbers are right, I'm saying your definition is wrong.
