Gas Mileage Thread
Ok ive posted a couple time in here about my truck, ill try to copy paste the other threads but anyway in a nut shell I have done a Volant CAI pacesetter LT headers removed the cats single 3' exhaust and have had the truck dyno tuned. I was told that these are all great mods to improve fuel economy. However I have lost fuel economy. I was getting 19-21mpg w/just the CAi and now I am only getting 14-17mpg. I drive the truck like a grandma and dont let the rpms go above 2k. I have two questions.
1) Is my mileage low and if so what possible causes
2) What else can I do to improve gas mileage

i had my truck dyno tuned and noticed a decrease in fuel mileage as well. i dont know why it happened but my dyno guy told me to expect that because he was tuning for mileage he was tuning for Hp. but overall i don think 17mpg is bad, i have shorties, catback, CAI, and e-fans and i got 19-20. he fans semed to make a big difference.
