Default Are custom mufflers a thing?

Does any one know people who make them?

I REALLY need to quiet down my RCSB but space is limited and its too low to go over the axle. I have plans to change it down the road, but I need a short term fix. Its currently dual 3" to a single 4". I would love to find a dual 3" in and single 4" out muffler to replace my Y pipe. Magnaflow makes one but it necks down to 2.5" rather than staying at 3"... that **** drives me nuts. Seems the more i search the less I find.

Does anyone know of "custom" made mufflers? Maybe a brand that would be willing to build me something? I would like it to be a perforated core straight through pipe design. I have the corsa diesel muffler that knocks out the resonating bass lows, but holy **** is it loud and ear piercing. The perforated core mufflers tend to take out the exact opposite end of the spectrum and they work great together.

Anyway... if you know of anyone or know of a good dual 3 to single 4" muffler let me know!

Sounds like build a bear workshop but for mufflers LOL. I've read about people wanting that stuff but never anything past that.

Is it not possible to stick mini resonators in the dual 3in sections to help?

Check these out, might be what you're after. If not, I'm pretty sure they'd custom build something for you.

Exactly!

I think space is too tight. I wouldn't want them as close as cats typically go because I dont think they would last with that much heat... nor is there enough room for any type of muffler than will actually do anything. I think the section next to the trans is just too tight... I will probably be able to take another look soon.

100 years ago when I put a muffler on my truck I went with spin tech, same square case, and recall they flowed on par or better than the major manufacturers. Plus they sound great.

I'll see if I can pull up some flow numbers.

How low is it? I had true 3” duals ran over the axle on my 7” dear drop. Just had to remove that small heatshield below the bed

Magnaflow single 4" / dual 3" right here

Like madmann said, Helmhotz tube is also an option. If you can squeeze it in there.

I have the same issue of going over the axle with my 4/6 drop. The Speed Engineering duals are not even close when installed. The section after the mufflers that loops over the axle is two pieces and the first section doesn't even have room.

Were your tailpipes mandrel bent or custom cut and tig welded to fit. I really don't want the pipes squished with a non mandrel pipe bender.

I have seriously considered having the tails run under the axle like this, but without the Corvette tips Don't see any clearance issues with a street truck but it does looks strange up on the lift
