yes it will, either erase the thrown codes with the ls1edit or put in 02sims(don't do) or get a nelson tune and tell him to tun the back 02 sensors off. I've had mne cut off for abbout 3 months and have had no problems even though my service light is on since the damn 02sims don't work all the time.

Your exhaust will be louder ... it will be more free flowing, so the low end may be a little muchy or remain the same, but the top end should be a little stronger. Yes, Allen can tune for it.

I have my cats cleaned out & I am using casper electronics O2 simms. After getting the correct simms for my truck the simms for my truck mine work all the time & have been working for about 15k miles. I origionally bought the O2 simm for a 2000 5.3 but I ended up having to use the ones for a 2001 or new 5.3 to make it work. Also when I installed the incorrect simms I blew the O2 heater fuse & had to replace it to get the correct O2 simms to work.

I noticed absolutly no differance in power when I had mine off. As for sound, it had kind of a raspy crappy sound under WOT. It really didn't make it louder either. I put them back on. I noticed more power with the cut-out open.

Plus, if they do emmisions check on the truck, it won't pass without them. They will come up "not-ready" on the computer. More than two "not-readys" and you fail the test.
