Engine Swap to 6.2
I made up my mind on replacing my LH6 5.3 2009 sierra 6speed 6L-80 to 6.2 , I need some advise from the pros please.
Would I have any problem in swaping 5.3 with 6.2 crate engine ?
Can and which one I should go with ? the LS3 corrvet or the L92 Denali engine?
will the VVT make problems in reprograming my ECM ?
I am planning to through a SC down the road, so which one will handle the compression better , the L92 or the LS3 ?
Any other issue I need to keep in mind?
Thanks

If you do make a swap are you paying someone or you able to do the labor? So many times folks get on the forums spouting off plans of swaps or convertions and then never materialize or they start and never finish.Have you calculated the costs?
Once its all done and said it will have been cheaper to have retailed your truck then shopped for a truck with what you want.

None of your sensors will need to be modified or changed and besides a tune it will be a direct swap for the most part. If its really in the budget to buy a new crate engine you could use any of the 6.2 variants. We will need to know your budget, your goals and who will be doing the install to be of further assistance.

Thanks all for your reply, I have being planning this for a year now, so I know the cost involved, I dont trust the labour here to swipe the engine block and tranfer the partsd, I just want to through a complete engine, I understod it will cost me about 7000$ for a crate engien and it is fine since I can sell me 5.3 used for about 3000$. so I am paying $4K only, for a new, bigger complete engine, we dont have much of a choice for desired options in trucks here, so I couldnt find a 6.2 RWD with SLE interior, I hate the SLT/Denali one, so I need to do this. I am puting aside $8000 for the engine, labour, exhaust , new rimes and 6" lift , with the resell of my engine about 3K, I can buy parts for actually more than 10K. so should I go with the SL3 or th L92 ? will there be a defrint in any part while swapping? will my 6L-80 fit directly or I need to change something? I will use a exper local shop to do the swap.
Thanks

3000 grand sounds way high for that 5.3.... might want to rethink your numbers and the dude to ask about this is iamkeniff, very smart dude on those engine swaps from what i have read.
