Default 6.0 with a 5.3 harness?

Probably a seriously dumb question but ive been seeing people dropping 6.0 liters in 5.3 trucks and was wondering about the harnesses? Are they the same or atleast compatible? Im new to the whole truck performance seen so pardon my ignorance

The harnesses are the same if you stick to the same generation engine (gen III vs gen IV). There are other differences that need to be taken into account like DBW vs DBC.
