#1
I'm doin a 6 liter swap and was wondering on how to change the
wiring over to the old harness..
I have the fuse block off the 04 lq4 i bought and the one out of my truck.
can i just splice into the old fuse block with the new fuse block or am i goin to have to run all new wiring????

Painless sells an EFI harness specifically designed for transplanting the 6.0L into another vehicle. It's normally used when transplanting into a non-efi vehicle. But it can be used on your truck. The engine harness on the 5.7 will not work with the LQ4. I'd need to know what the donor vehicle is (year and model) and if it is mechanical or electrical throttle. Also need to know what tranny you will be using.
I spoke with one of our engineers about integrating our EFI harness with your vehicle as it is already an EFI vehicle. I have a schematic of the dash and some info on that as well. But first, lets start with identifying the correct harness.
Yep.... I work for Painless

He is using a LQ4 out of a 2004 2500HD. Electric Throttle but we are putting a Cable Throttle on it. Also will be using his 1998 4l60E.
The transmission is a easy one, just swap the white and brown wire on the trans connector.

Have a look over on the pacific performance forum. The LS 0411 PCM swap is an easy one. That's a start.
Speak to PSWIRED...he did the swap a few years ago and is now in the process of swapping an 07 E85 motor and trany into a 97 (I think) Tahoe.

I think I have the diagram for the 411 swap if you want it so you can wire in the newer pcm into the old harness. Then you should be able to run the wires to the sensors from the pcm and have the motor and gauges working.
