I have a DHM e-cut on my truck, and in my opinion the quality and design is the best of any cut out out there. I did have to wait about two weeks to get mine, but I thought it was worth the extra wait to get a superior product for roughly the same price. I considered the QTP, but heard of sealing problems. I talked to the owner of DHM when I ordered my e-cut out, and was impressed with how he stood behind his product as being the best period. He provides something like a 5 year warranty that covers just about all broken parts, which is something that adds confidence in the customer. My DHM has worked flawlessly so far... I can't complain at all.

If it were me ... I'd put them behind the cats. Your running stock for the most part, judging from your sig. You can't be filling up those cats yet. I don't know what you got on the table for that beast, but I would put it behind the cats. In fact ... if it's a milder setup, I would even put just one on the y-pipe. You wouldn't have anything to worry about the warranty then.

Fast4.8 is right about the cutouts being less than 6" from the o2 sensor. That will create a nightmare for you if you run them open much at all. Unless it's under moderate acceleration, it will let fresh air hit those o2's making the PCM think there is a BAD lean condition. After that, it starts dumping fuel, not adding, but dumping fuel, to make up for what it thinks is a lean condition. The fuel it dumps doesn't register on the o2's since they are still getting fresh air on them so it starts dumping even more until it starts to choke out. This is the voice of experience.

Here is a picture from when I was running open header the weekend I put them on. This was the set that was in there when I put them on. I replaced these and had to replace them again once I got the exhaust welded up.

Maybe this thing could make the 47 mile trip in 11 minutes, and still leave time to spare to post up ...

Sorry ... Slow .. had to do it .. it's all good though.

My Predator gives the codes also. Probably the biggest reason I got it before I finally got edit.

As for the HP gain, look for no more than 10rw. These trucks don't seem to respond as well as the cars do. Some guys get more, but I only saw a few (after the cats, the old location) Never dynoed in the front location.
I also know a few people that have had positive results with QTP's, plus they are a board sponsor.

HPP said the code reading/clearing thing was new, and mine is a January 2004 update.

dude, the ones these guys make ARE FAR SUPERIOR to the QTPs....they seal better, are equipped with better wiring (QTP uses audio cables) and are cheaper.....that's fact

Do you have a link to website, how much was it, etc.? What does the switch look like, I want a professional stockish looking switch on the dash for this.

Excellently (sp?) explained! Yes, the truck will remain pretty stock for the time being. Why would one cutout on the y-pipe avoid warranty issues, just being less obvious maybe?

You shouldn't have any problems with waranty issues, unless you throw codes for the rear o2's. They could try and charge you for clearing the codes since it wasn't a manufacture defect.

The Y-pipe is actually really nice for a stock piece. The flange on it is not very restrictive in fact. I would put it right behind that flange and be done with it.

here is a video of my DMH cutout

http://www.neufamily.org/hosted%20stuff/DMH.mpg

I have had it on for about 5k miles or so with absolutely no problems - it still seals fine. The switch is a nice small rocker switch that I located under my head unit in a plastic panel. It was about the same price as the QTP (He includes shipping in the cost) and from what I have read on multiple forums, including my own experience, they are a very high quality peice
