Anybody had any experience with the GM 5.3 HO crate motor? I know, 6.0 is much preferred, but it just sounded interesting when i saw it on the SD website.

they came stock in certain ecsb 4x4 trucks around the 05 model year i believe

That engine from SD is not the L33 engine.
looks like just a cammed 5.3.
no mention of an aluminum block or higher compression or LS6 heads.

never mind my previous post, just a cammed 5.3 form SDPC

but gm did call the L33 the "5.3L HO" when they marketed it
