5.3 in a 72 chevy
Hey just going to get some input. I recently put together my motor, its a 2001 5.3 I put a tr 218/224 cam, 7.400 pushrods, ls3 lifters, comp 918 springs, and i had the heads shaved .025. Im running 1 3/4 doug thorley tri-y headers, and as of right now i have the stock intake for the truck. I heard that a tbss intake with a 90mm throttle body would make a big difference. Would it worth the money or is the power gains that noticeable? The motor is backed by a 4l65e and a 2700 stall, all of it is in a 72 chevy 4x4.

i ran a TBSS intake with a Edelbrock 90MM and i felt a difference over the 78MM stock unit. you are looking at 500 bucks total for the upgrade and will end up around 15-20 horses ahead of the stock setup with a better throttle response over stock as well.
