How does it sit? Does it lower it any? Can't you adjust the ride height? How does adjusting the height to lower affect the ride? What are you running up front as far as suspension?

I am looking to get rid of my rough 4/6 drop.

Alright, I tried askin this once b4 with no answer, so I'll try again. Is an adjustable 4 or 5 link w/ bags still good for performance? I know coil overs are better, but will bags still work for performance??

why wouldn't it? it's just a different kind of "spring" after all.

Kinda what I was thinking ... the only thing with bags is you have to air them up. They will eventually leak down some and you have to refill them. Either via an air pump in a schraeder valve or install one on the truck (ricer like).

If you go with a full on air setup, you will be much happier with an on car air compressor. You dont have to worry about not having air when you need it, and it gives you the ability to fine tune the suspension to the loads its seeing, and to the road. Also you can "preload" your suspension to help out your launch at the strip, without even getting out of the truck. Personally I think air bags are the best choice for someone that wants a nice riding truck, yet is still looking good with a big drop, and can still tow and hook up very well at the track. You have an infinate amount of spring rates basically.

Thanks for the info.

I can get the bolt in 4 link for 600 and I already have the c notch. I know some one that makes coilovers for race cars so parts wise I think I'm covered.

This should be a nice summer project.

That step notch required cutting out your bed floor though correct? That was one of my criteria when I was shopping around, that my truck lose no functionality from stuff like suspension components sticking up through the bed.

For the racers: At the track, which should yield better times, low rear pressure which biases more weight rearward, or higher pressure that acts like a very stiff spring at the expense of weight distribution?
