Default 4.8l Swap To Ls2 Crate Engine In A 07 Silverado

Is swaping the 4.8l in a 2007 silverado for the LS2 crate engine just transfering the all the front accessories, harmonic pully, oil pan, and intake manifold, or is any thing else required. I checked the part number on the injectors for the 4.8L and the LS2 and they are the same part number. My goal is to swap out the engine and drive it like that for a month then swap out the 3.23 gears for the 4.10 gears and at the same time reprogram the ECM. Any additional help or info into this swap would be welcomed.

All Gen4 engines are pretty much a direct swap. At least I think 07 4.8's are gen4. Little details make things different like if you are using car or truck accessories and intakes.

You will need a tune at time of swap for it to run right. If you used the same size injectors the MAF sensor could make it limp along until it is tuned.
