Quick question. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

How much power can the 4wd transfer case in the full size trucks take before it blows up?

I see there are a few guys hitting it with N2O off the launch in 4wd. Has the t-case complained any?

I'm planning on getting a 4wd to put the 422 in and with the little stall <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> I want to put in I'm sure the torque going thru the t-case will be outrageous. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

What about beefed up t-cases? Does anyone sell one?

If you keep the aluminum tcase you have, you might want to fab a scattershield. I've seen a couple of them blow.

NP205 from a '77-79 ford truck is about the only thing made that will take the punishment. The tcase of choice for most pro pullers. It's a part time gear driven transfer case instead of the chain driven one you have. Advance adapters should have an adapter made by now. If you're serious about getting one, I've got a couple laying around.

Hey

Thanks for the info and the offer. I'll keep that in mind.

I've heard of that t-case before. Did any Chevys ever come with it?

I may just go with a 2wd truck and really lay down some numbers. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> The t-case and front diff. are just one more thing to worry about anyway.
