I have a large round Borla muffler. Very tame until you romp on it.

No drone either.

Interested in this as well. I just put two flowmaster 70 series on my 3" true dual speed engineering system and it didn't do much.

It's hard to find a shop that dose mandrel bends but well worth it. Or is he fabricating from pre-bent mandrel pieces doing pie cuts and such? Either way much better than non mandrel bends that restrict the pipe.

He is using prefab, takes measurements and orders accordingly. His stuff looks so good it's ashame you can't see it.

I had a Flo~Pro 2510 on my '10 2500HD, had just a slight amount of noise @ 67mph, nothing unbearable, and my ears are very sensitive to drone. Dual 3" is overkill in my opinion for anything N/A driven on the street, you wouldn't be sacrificing anything with dual 2.5" and you could control the sound better. Put on the largest case mufflers of your flavor, and if you still have drone...add in some J-pipes/Helmholtz resonators before the mufflers. I had a 2013 FX2 5.0L Coyote powered F150 that I had the 5x11x22 Magnaflow and a J-pipe and it was finally bearable. I run the biggest case Dynomax Ultraflow (24") muffler on my wife's Suburban with an SLP resonator delete, very good sound.

On my last K5 I tried a Magnaflow 5x8x24 with a single 3" tailpipe and a high flow cat. I figured with the large case size it would be tame...wrong, droned terrible at highway speed. Put a Walker Quiet-Flow SS muffler on it and all was right with the world again.

Luckily my Vortec Max Sierra came with a previously installed Corsa system.

Your description sounds a lot better than mine is and I ordered the 2500 so it should be slightly quieter. I should have gone with dual 3" in dual 2.5" out because it would automatically be quieter and there seem to be more muffler options for that. It's tricky getting two 3" tailpipes over all the suspension in the SUVs and the muffler guy did a good job stuffing it in there so I'm not going to try to get him to change it more than he has to to get the new muffler on. I should be getting it on Monday so I'll get the truck to the shop to have the little cats installed and the muffler swapped. I'll post results since there has been so much interest.

So, the exhaust shop just called me. THey say the 2500 model has 2 pipes coming out but one of them is basically a built in J-tube. No exhaust will be coming out of it. I may not have them install it. They're putting the cats on so I'll go see how it sounds with that before I make a decision. We're also discussing makingJ-Tubes for after the magnaflows that re on there now.
