Thats kicking it pretty hard in a 5.3. Dont do it unless you get a stall. Its gonna pull pretty dam high.

Id expect peak power to be in the 6700 range and the cam probably wouldnt come on until around 3k or higher. With some head work and supporting bolt ons Id be shooting for low 13's in your truck

what are you trying to do with the truck?
I would go more with a 228 230 duration 570 580 lift 117ls
Smooth idle and a torque and horsepower range you would like, and, a smooth idle. With tuning of coarse..
That cam you choose, should add about 37 horsepower over stock,
Mine would be a smooth idle, good gas mileage, and 53 horsepower over stock.

who makes the cam?
have you dynoed any 5.3's with it

i think that's a lil too much duration for a 5.3. you'll definately need a big stall with that cam. i'd say stay around 224dur and .560 lift.
