2004 Quadrasteer Denali.. Need the low down.
#1
My dad recently bought one. I bought the credits for HPtuners to try and give it a bit more go for him. First things I noticed.
6.0
4L60E
AWD
Looks like tons of timing is taken away via ECT and AIT. Timing table is fairly low to begin with.
Shifts seem fairly low in RPM 5,600 first and 5,200 in second. This leads me to ask, what cam and heads come in the trucks? Is it the standard 01 later F-body / truck cam? Or did they start using the later Z06 cam? The 04 is rated higher than the 02-03..
Any info would be great.

The heads are 317 casting heads ( good heads) its the stock cam that sucks. Cam specs are neither, the trucks have a very mild cam.. Stock 6.0 cam is a 207/196 .479/.467 116lsa 02Zo6 cam is a 204/218 .551/547 117lsa

Heads are 317s. IIRC, 2004 still had the LQ4... I think the LQ9 didn't come in the Denalis until '05. It is not the Z06 cam either. Try searching for the LQ4/LQ9 cam specs, they've been posted a few times on here, I'll see if I can dig them up and find out for sure if it's an LQ4 or LQ9.
