2000 Sierra 5.3 Mod Suggestions - Help

Hey Everyone!

I just joined this forum today and spend about an hour looking through it before I joined, lots of good info here!

I am looking for suggestions on my 2000 GMC Sierra Ext Cab 5.3 4WD truck! I use the truck to pull a boat in the summer months and just as a truck the rest of the year. I am getting ready to put on some Long Tube Headers and a free flowing Exhaust System, I already have a CAI. Is there anything else I could do without spending huge money that would net me some good HP and TQ gains?? Thanks to everyone in advance that helps out

Intake and a tune. Maybe a hand held tuner so you can adjust to when you pull that big ole boat compared to cruising around. btw Welcome!

Forgot to list I was planning on haveing BlackBearPerformance do a custom tune! What does the Corvette Servo do??

correct me if I am wrong but I believe the Corvette servo increases hold pressure for 1/2 shift. Makes trans shift better/faster. Not a shift kit, but makes a more positive shift. Well worth the $15 and very easy to do.

Does anyone have a GM part number or link to purchase this??

Thanks

Just search it on ebay,or look through the classified's here, welcome :)

Also what gears do you have??? It may be worth doing a gear swap as well ..

You need a strong mechanical background and a lot of patience, not a job for a beginner for sure (not saying that you're a beginner, just referring to how hard the job is)

I'd throw a cam in there if you're looking for some solid gains that you can feel and hear. If you want to stick with the stock torque converter, go with a cam like the one I have listed in my sig. If you don't mind upping the stall speed of the torque converter, maybe get a 212/218, 2600 converter, and you'll still be able to retain your towing capabilities ;)
