Default 2000 chevy died

Got a 2000 chevy 3500 with a 5.7 in it at the shop one of the drivers today was driving it and it just died on him. The truck will spin over but when it does it sounds as if it isnt building compression. Does it sound like a broke timing chain to yall. It trys to cacth it self but just cant do it. Also throw a cam sensor code but i didnt no if that would case it to sound like it doesnt have compression

Cam sensor code is saying that it has counted crank rotation without any cam rotation. So yes it sounds like the timing chain broke. Since the truck was running when it broke I'd recommend checing for broken/bent valves, there's a good chance a few stayed down when a piston came up.

How many miles are on this one? Timing chains don't break very often. A compression test doesn't take but a few minutes, or you could pull the distributor cap to see if the rotor spins...
