'12 silverado manifold question
1 Attachment(s)
so im getting ready to get a holley intake manifold for my 2012 6.2L. but i have a few questions i couldnt find the answer to so i figured id ask. in the picture below can anyone tell me what the parts circled are? and which one(s) need to go back into the manifold.
Attachment 91136 ive been reading various threads and looking at numerous pictures here, which has been completely helpful, but i couldnt figure these out. i know theres a vacuum line in the back thatll need to be put back in as well. |
Why are you going with the holley intake? If the mods in your sig are all thats done to your truck i dont see it as worth the money and time. Heatsoak and loss of lowend torque are some complaints about that intake and most of the guys running it are boosted in some way. Anyways the blue circle leads to your "PCV" valve on the driver rear valve cover. Red is your MAP sensor and green is the hookup for the EVAP system. Basically all of them need to go back on if the only mods are those in your sig.

You don't need the Holley, Hell most trucks should not have the holley

im getting ready to turbo the truck here in the very near future. and this is the first step of the build along with doing the fuel system. after seeing several trucks here with it after they turbo it i like how clean everything is when its all said and done. thank you for answering my question though.

Unless you're making huge power keep the stock intake
|
The stock intake was easier to tune and performed just fine, but you are right and the holley does look a heck of a lot better and can be made to work fine. I am selling my holley intake for rectangular heads if you are interested, btw ;)
