Default 1-3/4 or 1-7/8 primaries

I just found out that Doug Thorley makes some TRI-Y long tube headers for the 6.2L engine. But they only have them with 1-3/4 primaries, it also comes with the Y-pipe (no cats). I've been reading that the 6.2L motors like the 1-7/8 primaries. Is it ok to get the 1-3/4 primaries, if I'm only planning on doing bolt ons? Here in Hawaii, I don't see me going past 5000 rpms on our roads, so these TRI-Y long tubes would be good for my truck, correct?

Any info would be great.

If you're not going to do a nasty cam or headwork, I think that the 1 3/4's will be fine...tri-y headers are known for being good for low end torque production btw...
