has anyone out there had a custome one bolt cam made for the newer motors so you dont have to replace the cam sprocket? it says it can be done in this thread but theres not much info...https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...t=one+bolt+cam
how much easier would this be to do a cam swap like this?

Comp cams makes the 1bolt cams now.but its not much to use a 3-bolt pattern cam,just buy the ls7 sprocket with 3 bolts and your set.thats what i did.

is it cheaper to buy a one bolt cam or regular 3 bolt w/the sprocket?

Well cams going to be the same price around $400,i paid $30.00 bucks for the sprocket/bolts,i went 3-bolt,more cam choices,but then again u can go custom grind.

im thinking about just having a custom grind done but may just go with the 3 bolt for the more choices if i ever want to change?

Yea bro go 3-bolt,more cam choices,i just put the new 09'thumper cam in my 08'

either or . . 3bolt cam- more choices available . .just get the sproket .. or 1 bolt cam .. dotn forget the hardened rods . .;) .. im running Hot cam on my nnbs '

^how does the hot cam performe in your truck?
mines a 4.8 and i was thinking the TR220? seems to be a popular choice and good cam from what i hear.

220* . . good throught all rpm . . . i went with gm hot cam.. due 2 got basss ass deal including the springs. . .but I've had the money i would go with the220* . . . the hot cam pulls hard @ high rpm . .
