07 Tahoe Engine Swap
 

Ok little new so engine finally went in the Tahoe looking to put in 6.0 but not too sure which one to look for, 2500 HD or regular 1500. My 8th digit on 5.3 is a 0 if that even matters, looking to drp one in just for now have tune from wheatley and full true dual exhaust. Gonna rebuild 5.3 nd bore it out and spend a good amount of money on it so not sure if I should even get 6.0 or just drop in another 5.3? Any help would be great. :hmmm: Not looking to half ass rebuild either tranny going to performa built in PA and engine will be done right here in garage with some fellow gear heads.

Look for an ly6. Its pretty much plug and play swap.

Thanks just found one near me and picking up tomorrow, do I need to get a base tune first or will stock 5.3 fire it up at least and play from there?
