Lightbulb 04 Silverado 5.3 Upgrades

So I currently have a....
04 Silverado 1500 z71 crew cab
5.3 L engine
285/70/17 mud tires with aftermarket wheels
Rough country 2.5” level lift kit
K&N CAI
3.73 Gear Ratio

I am looking to get some more power/take off speed out of my truck, and hopefully improve gas mileage. I want to get a true dual exhaust and headers and a tune. I don’t really want my exhaust to be too loud, I just want to improve performance. Unless I’d have a better chance without the dual. But I know pretty much nothing about this kinda stuff. Anyone got suggestions? I think this is going to be a really fun build.

Since you have big heavy mud tires swapping out differential gears to 4.30 or 4.56s would help your take off power alot!

Do you have a budget in mind for the build?

I have a $1800 budget right now, but if I wouldn’t have to spend that much, that’d be better. I know for big power upgrades you need a lot but I’m looking for the most power I can get for as cheap as $1800

Gears and a tune would be the best bang for your buck and give you the most seat of the pants improvement imo
