I finally know how torquey my cam is! Same deal here with the blinking battery light...I got the alternator connector from the dealer, now I just need the terminal end that goes into the PCM and I have to run the wire, no biggie.

I'm TheLadieMans friend that said that Allen can fix the battery light. I called him and asked him about it and he said that he can fix it on the PCM. He did it on his father an laws truck thats a 99. Do need a VIN from a 02 to do it.

You can install the wire from the pcm to the alternator, or you can turn the code off in the PCM, I just chose to turn it off on the 99 GMC, much easier and the truck/pcm doesn't seem to need the wire, at least for now, I'm not sure exactly what it does. I have the official description on it, but the truck seems to charge and work just fine without it.
Get down here Jerry, then we'll have to post it on the Nissan Titan forum ,again, and listen how 130+ hp is impossible, according to their theories (don't ask, lol).
see ya,

Hey guys please info me on this are you guys talking about engine knocking. I have an 01 silverado and that damn thing will knock at WOT when I get on it really hard sometimes. If so what exactly do you have to change??

Are the '01 and '02 PCM's the same ??...they have the same part# (12200411) so I would assume they are the same
I ask because '01 PCM's are ALOT easier to find that '02's....if they are the same part# they should be able to be programmed with whatever year programming you'd like thm to have.....correct ??

My 01' never had that problem.
You might look into why it's knocking and ensure that it's false knock and not real knock due to crappy gas and bad mods. IE ported MAFs, in need of a tune up, etc.

I am going to get HPTuners. For the specified PCM model/year I need to get my plan squared away. I am thinking of switching to an '02 truck pcm like others have.
Where do you get a good '02 pcm other than GM? I was thinking of getting one from Allen Nelson. I just need the PCM, no tune.
