For you guys running this converter can you please tell me where your's is.......Brake stall RPM=
Flash stall RPM=
Seems mine is only flashing to 2500-2600 but brake stalls to the same. I need some comparison info please.

Just a suggestion but you might want to post which motor you have and mods to get better comparison info.

Have you tried to call yank? That converter will act looser and tighter based on application and type of mods. FI on that same stall may net you another 2-300 rpms.

There was a lq4 ec silverado at the track on sunday running 14.05's. He was cutting 1.9's 60's w/ a tb stall. I think you should be able to do even better than that with an extra 400 rpm stall speed.

Yeah, I called Yank a few times. Basically was told that if it brake stalls to 2500 or so than it should be flashing higher, which makes sense-but it's not.
I have tried 4wd stomps and rolling flashes but it stalls thae same regardless to 2600.

Either I need more low end torque (currently I have 295 ft'lbs @ 3000) or a looser torque converter to get my 60' down. Frustrating knowing my truck is faster than i can get it to go!

A guy with a TT2600 in a Hummer H2 with a built 408 and STS turbo with 12psi brake stalled 2600rpm and flashed 3000rpm (according to Tac). Another guy with a '04 5.3L with only a program and TT3000 brake stalls 2400rpm and flashes 2700rpms (according to Tac). My truck with factory converter brake stalls 1800rpms and flashes 2000rpms. My point is every converter will act slightly different depending on application. Also, I don't trust factory tacs, there is a 200rpm difference from what my tac shows and what the computer shows. If I were you I would contact Yank and tell give them your brake stall and flash rpms and see what they think.

he has done that and they havent been able to help him thats why he started this new thread because thats all people were telling him to do. a factory converter flashing to 2000 and break stallin to 1800 thats un heard of

My stock verter would brake stall and flash to 1800 rpms ethier way....I don't regardless of the stll size mine does both lol.Stock 1800brake stall and flash...TT2600-2600 Brake stall and 2600 flash...

I always thought the stall speed is dependant on the power you throw at the verter. A verter in a stock 4.8 set to stall at 3000 is going to stall higher in a 6.0. So it seems pointless to compare verters with a stall speed desinged to work with one application vs. another verter of the same brand with a stall speed designed to work with a different application.

yes to a point. designed stall rpm is derived from a certain amount of torque input, but the weight of the vehicle has to be taken into consideration. basically the heavier the vehicle with the same tq/hp the slighty higher the stall rpm.
