Default WTF!?!? Spider gear crosspin chewed up. Why?

Went to replace the gears on my 00 silverado and the crosspin was chewed up like the spider gears had been eating into the side of it. The rear end has only 10,000mi on it since it was rebuilt last and was obviously set up wrong. I just don't know why that would happen?

I had a 99 1500 and i went thru rear ends left and right. If you do a lot of turn and burn it'll cause the spiders to start digging into the cross pin/carrier and eventually the cross pin will egg hole the carrier too, or in two of my cases break in 3 or 4 peices. Idk if you do the turn and burn style burnouts a lot or not but thats what ive always been told causes it. I eventually thru a 04 posi rear end in mine and i never had anymore probs with it while i owned it which was for about 6 months after the 04 rear end.
