You have an 8.625" Rear end but most of your parts are ordered for the 8.5"

yukon are NOT OEM and i would not get yukon again

i had 2 bad sets of yukon gears from randy's in my truck and they both made noise big time and i had trouble getting them 2 make it good

i finally got OEM gears and the are whisper quit

Ive always heard that OEM's are the strongest... but again thats what ive heard...

BlackLM7 07-27-2007 04:59 PM

AAM gears are OEM. I've had no experience with other gears but everyone seems to agree that AAM are quiet and strong. Your truck has a 30 spline 8.625" rear (parts interchange with 8.5" rears).

I just had Yukon gears installed. They are made in India , I think. The guy that installed them said they were "good" gears, just break them in easy . :drive:

Yukons are made by AAM in america with a massive Made in the USA stamp
