I did the slapper bar thing a while back as well and it never got me where I wanted. Maybe yours are different in the mounting or setup, but it seems everything that works like a charm on the reg cabs, doesnt apply to the long trucks.

I dont know how just clamping these things will do either... I hate to sound cocky in any way, but this truck makes a good bit of power... and I have a feeling that its going to take more than just that to hook it.

My RCSB hopped like crazy even stock. Once I did the drop it went away, even more impressive to me, since I have modded it.

Anyway, Ben, get some adjustable QA1s or if on a budget, get some Rancho 9ways like Lance has.

BTW, I forgot, but is this your DD?

better shocks are definitely on the to do list and will be purchased before I expect too much. but the ones I have are pretty stiff right now. they should do for now I'd guess.

Oh ya, the reason I asked if u DD yours doesn't really matter cause u live in TX & don't have to worry bout the salt eating the finish on the aluminum bodied QA1s like I do.

I know how you've lightened your truck, so FWIW the QA1s are alum., & either single or double adjustable (both rebound & compression).

The Ranchos are steel bodied if goin for those last few lbs.

Yeah, I'm DDing it again. I am not too concerned with weight since I've added the turbo kit and 80E since I've weighed the truck. I'm surely back over 4000 these day. I'd guess around 4100 on the street. The steel vs alum bodies aren't going to be a deal breaker, the price will be LOL. QA's are spendy to be beating on every day.

Do the single adjustable shocks set rebound & compression for the QA1 and Rancho 9way shocks?

4100 lbs is amazing for an ecsb. You're truck must have been very responsive when it was down around 3900.

On the 9000XLs
1 has a soft R&C
9 has a firm R&C

QA1 has a fixed rebound and a adjustable compression
