Default truck only revs to ~2000rpm when brake stalling

I've got a 3200 stall in the truck and when i brake and try to stall it up it will only go to about 2k and won't rev anymore. Maybe this should be in the tuning section. Is there something in the PCM that controls this?

I may be wrong but doesn't the PCM have a Brake TQ Management table that removes timing when the brakes are applied under a load?

brake stall is NOT actuall stall... besides, those stall numbers slapped on converters are just approximate #'s....

In the description in EFILive it says something about how it reduces power in ETC vehicles....does that mean ETC vehicles only?

Yes that is/was mine. I just set it high so it would never be an issue. Don't think I'll ever be brake stalling to 8000 RPM.

Could be. I only see it in ETC truck tunes. First one being an 01 Tahoe.

Upgrading to an 02 PCM, as many have done, would definitely give you BTM.

delete all torque management of the tranny if modded if not modded delete 60%-75% only. Also try stalling the truck in second gear with tow haul button on and see how far does it go now...........
