Transmission flush??

Got 75,000 miles and I want to do a filter and fluid change on the tranny. Has anyone flushed their own tranny and what did you use, also what kind of tranny fluid is everyone using ( regular Dexron, synthetic, B&M, etc ) THANKS!!

I highly suggest that if you have never done an oil change before on the truck, dont do it!! :judge: I've seen this happen plenty of times, if the truck has that many miles and it is running good, it is best to leave it alone, they seem to start acting up after you do it....

What are you talking about :bang:

He needs to change is filter and oil with that many miles, I change my tranny filter and oil every 3rd engine oil change and flush it every 3rd tranny filter change.

I think what you have seen is a lot of people flushing there trannies without change the filter, this will screw up a tranny pretty quick if its got a lot of mileage.

no what he is saying is that if you've never done a regular service on a transmission (filter, fluid) , it's best not to do a full flush with a transmission with that many miles b/c it can damage it.

You guys shouldn't be going by what the manufacture says on when to change the tranny fluid.
Many tranny shops will tell you to change the fluid and filter at every 24k-25K.
You guys need to be changing it more often.
Even more often if you are racing it or towing with it. An external trans cooler helps out a lot as well to keep the tranny fluid from breaking down too rapidly.
I've been changing all my vehicles tranny fluid at those intervals.
My truck's tranny fluid was changed a few days ago. I have about 22,500mi.
