Transgohd2 relief valve

I installed the 4l80e TransgoHD2 kit last night. Pretty straightforward install. Got it all back together and went inside to pat myself on the back. Stumbled upon a few threads where people stated to NOT install the pressure relief valve/plate. Shoot! What do i do now? Can i just tig weld the hole closed? Tap it and install a set screw? If i do this do i need to plug just the one hole that was drilled using the plate? Or does the hole that you drill between the x's need to be plugged also? Thanks guys.

Just fill the hole where you drilled for the plate. Don't have to do anything about the cross drill in the passage. The hole you drilled for the plate is into what is normally a void. So the cross drilled passage is just going to fill that void if you cap the plate hole off.

Tig, Epoxy. Set Screw. Etc

Thanks, I was going to just leave it but I just don't trust it. I'll tig the hole up.

If you tig it up, bolt the valve body to a piece of steel or something. Even a couple thou of distortion in the valve body can cause some significant crossleaks.
